| 説明文 / Explanation | 加地英貴は、色鉛筆で紙に強い筆圧で塗り込みます。一枚の作品を仕上げるのに色鉛筆を50本～100本程使います。そして色鉛筆は最後まで見事に使い切り、色鉛筆の長さを揃えるというこだわりがあります。そのため、塗ることと同様に、色鉛筆の長さを揃えることも作品制作の上で大切な要素であるみたいです。そして、色彩の選択は、特定のイメージを表す場合と、その時の感覚で選択する時があります。 今回の作品《gold on green》は、彼の住む近所の田んぼの稲穂からのイメージを描きました。 Hidetaka Kaji covers the paper surface with strong strokes of colored pencils. He uses 50 to 100 colored pencils to complete a work. He sticks to completely using up his colored pencils and making the length of the colored pencils uniform. It seems, therefore, that making the length of his colored pencils uniform is as important an aspect of his creative activities as drawing itself. He selects colors either based on particular images to be expressed or based on his immediate feelings. This work, gold on green, is inspired by a view of rice ears in the paddy fields near his home. |
